Stable and flexible
WoodWindDesign’s wooden stands for flute, clarinet and oboe basically consist of a wooden tube with four holes at the base. The alto flute stand afl4 however consists of a carbon tube connected to a synthetic base with four holes. These holes contain small magnets, as do the the four legs of the stands. When in use, the magnets hold the legs firmly in the base of the stand. This connection is stable as well as flexible in order to deal with uneven floors. The legs can be pulled out of the base and can be stored inside the tube that is the core of the stand. The stand can be stored inside the instrument or in the instrument’s case, depending on model, instrument and lay-out of the case. Despite the pictures, the stand comes with four carbon legs.
These carbon stands are handmade This beautiful and stable instrument stand weighs 60 grams only.
